Bikeway in area of street set aside for an outdoor market. Bicyclists must mount low curb (bottom of photo) to enter the bikeway. Sign reads "(Bikeway, non-mandatory) except on Wednesday and Saturday." The stripes in the middle of the bikeway are a nice touch to warn bicyclists approaching from the background about the street crossing in the foreground. However, the placement of the sign and bollards directly adjacent to the bikeway poses the risk of snagging handlebars and causing a diversion-type fall. The signpost and bollards here appear, however, unlike many, to be reflectorized. A square sign (as opposed to a round sign) indicates a non-mandatory bicycle facility. More bad bollard placement
