This and the next two photos were taken at the same location. Bicyclist is riding close to curb in bus/bike lane. Note cars which have merged partway into that lane. The closer one is probably preparing a right turn, and such merging is correct in order to avoid right-hooking the bicyclist. However, the markings on the pavement encourage motorists to turn right from the left side of bicyclists -- and from the left side of buses! But some right-turning traffic does turn from the right here, as opposed to barrier-separated lanes, where they really do turn across the bus/bike/motorcycle/taxi lane.
