Until reconstruction in 2006, the curve at the western/southern end was even sharper than the one at the northern/eastern end. This bicyclist enters the tunnel in the middle of the Rail Trail. I photographed this bicyclist and the one in the previous photo only a few minutes apart. According to the owner of Orleans Cycle, a local bike shop, bicyclists have had crashes here where they "spatter against the walls." He exaggerates, but still...
