Guardrail in path
Charlesbank Road is in the background in this photo, which looks back to the east. The guardrail here occupies part of the width of the path. It has been improved with wooden planks on its rear face. That will prevent the ends of the vertical I-beams from tearing the flesh off a bicyclist's leg. Still, it is decidedly nonstandard, as a pedal can still get caught underneath it, and a bicyclist who strays into it will topple into the roadway.
